Sanction warning. Where have my Jersey-gazette sanctions gone?
30/06/2025
Several Comsure customers and Comsure itself have noted that the Jersey sanction gazette emails may not work as they should.
My last email on the Official notices was for Financial Sanctions Notice Russia, 13 June 2025
However, several UK sanctions have been issued since here are the sanctions that require name services (there are some others to be aware of):
- June 17, 2025:
- Russia Sanctions: The UK government added 10 new parties and specified 20 ships under the Russian regime. This includes individuals and entities supporting the Russian energy, financial, and extractive sectors and ships transporting Russian oil
- June 18, 2025:
- Global Anti-Corruption Sanctions: The UK government removed Slobodan Tesic from the UK sanctions list under the Global Anti-Corruption regime
- Isil (Da’esh) and Al-Qaeda Sanctions: The UK government added Abubakar Swalleh to the UK sanctions list under the Isil (Da’esh) and Al-Qaeda regime
- UN Sanctions Amendments: The UK introduced new exceptions to asset freeze restrictions under specific UN regimes concerning South Sudan, Central African Republic, Yemen, and Libya. These amendments will take effect from July 10, 2025
- Thursday, June 26
- The UK Government made 16 administrative amendments to the following individuals and entities under the Russia Sanctions Regime. The UK Government has also made one administrative amendment to the following individual under the Isil (Da'esh) and Al-Qaeda Regime.
