🔐 What Does an SSL Labs A+ Rating Mean?
SSL Labs, a service by Qualys, evaluates the security of a website’s SSL/TLS setup. The rating ranges from F to A+, with A+ being the highest. To achieve this score, a website must:
- Score 80/100 or higher on all security tests.
- Have no warnings or vulnerabilities.
- Support HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) with a max-age of at least six months.
- Use modern protocols (TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3).
- Implement strong cipher suites and forward secrecy.
- Avoid outdated or insecure protocols like SSLv2, SSLv3, and weak ciphers like RC4.
This rating assures users that the site is trustworthy, secure, and follows best practices in encryption and data protection.
