To support your planning, the JFSC is now publishing quarterly updates that look ahead to important upcoming publications and developments, including consultations and feedback, examinations, data collections, and legislative and policy updates.

      • The JFSC will now move forward with publishing the JFSC amended EU-focused code ahead of EU AIFMD II’s effective date on Thursday, 16 April.

    1. Complex structures guidance update
      • The JFSC have updated sections 4.8, 7.8, and 10.6 of the AML/CFT/CPF Handbook to provide clearer, more practical guidance on complex structures and enhanced criminal background checks.
      • Implementation 31 May 2026
    1. Criminal background checks guidance update
      • Codes in Sections 10, 11 and 15 of the enhanced Handbook will come into effect
