IOM seizes £300 million [approx.] from 10 active international money laundering investigations

July 2025, it has been reported:
The Isle of Man Constabulary has confirmed that there are currently 10 active international money laundering investigations, primarily connected to the e-gaming sector.
These investigations have led to the restraint of approximately £300 million.
The Chief Constable's annual report highlighted the complexity of these cases, which often involve multi-jurisdictional structures and the use of shell companies to conceal illicit funds.
The Isle of Man has established a dedicated Proactive International Money Laundering Investigation Team (PIMLIT) to tackle these sophisticated operations.
