First National Risk Assessment published

The Government of Jersey has published its first National Risk Assessment (NRA) report on money laundering.

The assessment documents the potential risks, threats and vulnerabilities that Jersey faces as an international finance centre. It is a critical exercise for any jurisdiction to undertake so that we understand where the perceived risks lie and can take action to mitigate those risks accordingly.

The assessment has documented what we already recognise to be potential risks, threats and vulnerabilities, and we are already focusing our resources in these areas.

We have already achieved a lot over the past few years to enhance our capabilities for fighting financial crime and come from a position of strength with well-established regulation in place to reduce the risk of money laundering.

You can read the full assessment on the Government of Jersey’s website.
